To more accurately represent our services, the 91ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Counseling Center has been renamed 91ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Counseling & Psychological Services, or CAPS. 

Where mental health & wellness matters

CAPS aims to enhance the mental wellness of the 91ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ community by providing professional and ethical psychotherapy, case management services, and mental health outreach and education.

CAPS offers confidential therapy services to help 91ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ students manage personal, social, and academic challenges at no additional cost. College is a time of dramatic intellectual and psychological growth, which can be equally enriching and challenging. CAPS therapist services assists students in managing stress and anxiety, learning new ways to handle difficult situations, improving moods, mending relationships, and living better lives. Case management services provide goal-oriented and strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination for students experiencing physical, emotional, academic, and/or psychological difficulties. Additionally, CAPS delivers mental health and wellness outreach programming, consultation, crisis intervention, and collaborative services to the greater 91ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ campus.

Events present an excellent opportunity for you to establish connections, indulge in self-care activities, and maintain a steady focus on your mental health and wellness. 

  • WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY EVENT
    Thursday, October 10th, 11am-1pm, PPHAC
    Stop by for self-care activities, make & takes, giveaways, and more.
  • D & D WELLNESS GROUP
    Thursday, October 10th, 11:30am-12:30pm, CAPS
    Come meet new people, recharge your brain, and have some fun. 
  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS EVENT
    Thursday, October 11th, 11am-1pm, PPHAC
    The Advocates for Survivors of Sexual Violence will be hosting a tabling event providing campus and community resources. 
  • SISTER TO SISTER GROUP
    Tuesday, October 15th, 11:30pm-12:30pm, at CAPS
    Join the Sister to Sister group for the Welcome Back Bash. This is an opportunity for all women of color to connect and support one another in achieving their goals, dreams, and passions as students. 
  • MENTAL WELLNESS WORKSHOP: STRESS LESS
    Tuesday, October 15th, 11:30pm-12:30pm, at PPHAC 103
    Learn ways to combat stress and manage challenging times. 
  • MINDFULNESS OUTDOORS
    Tuesday, October 22nd, 11:30am, at PPHAC patio
    Come explore how mindfulness exercises can reduce stress and enhance personal well-being. 
  • STRESS BUSTER EVENT: PUMPKIN PAINTING
